2018 has been an exciting year for Eleven Ltd. and this can be seen in the number of employees and in the goods turnover. Gyula Szűcs, Chief Executive Officer of Eleven Ltd. talked about this year’s performance in an interview.
The magnitude of orders in 2018 made sure that this year would be a special one. In fact we have tripled our income since last year. However there is room for improvement because while our revenue has increased considerably, our expenses have run too high. Next year, we must target a more cautious management to ensure business profit, alongside the turnover.
The number of employees has increased in line with our expectations. This year, we have continued a very heterogeneous activity; the number of foreign projects has increased significantly, including a major project in Tatralandia in Slovakia. I would also like to highlight the construction of the largest indoor aqua park in Central Europe with Polin Waterparks. There will be a three and a half kilometre long slide system inside one building. It is expected to be finished by next spring and will open for visitors in autumn.
I find it a great achievement to have a staff of 43 employees and we have reached this number completely by ourselves.
The new KING product line has been finalized and we introduced our products at the Euro Attractions Show in Amsterdam. There was considerable interest in them, and communication with the new partners has been very active ever since. After this, in France our products continued their journey to two other exhibitions. Lately we also welcomed French guests in our office and they have ordered products from us.
The biggest challenge for 2018 was to provide the necessary human resources for the three times higher volume of traffic. Some projects were delayed beyond our control, and we also had to take care of the deadlines and make sure that the resources were replenished.
The Tatralandia project where we had built two slides that we had not built before, and we also installed a self-designed conveyor. The first dry-wet slide in Hungary, in Zalaszabar that was built in 2017 gave such positive experience to the customer that they ordered the expansion of this attractions.
To achieve a similar level of commodity turnover, reduce costs, and to further improve the quality of our products and services. We are planning to launch a new business unit that would provide the maintenance of our equipment and also for equipment manufactured and installed by other companies. Further modernization of the SplashWare brand and the use of new technologies are also among our goals.
